I'll let the Strasburg guys chime in with their own reports, but the basic info:

Strasburg 118 Linn W. Moedinger rolled out for test runs today at the Strasburg. The car is the former B&O/WK&S car acquired in 1990 and "cocooned" for 15 years.

Beautiful! Amazing work from Strasburg once again.

Looking forward to the day I get to ride a six axle wooden car.

Stupid question: Is that the car from the 1880's that was discovered several years ago in MOW service on CSX? Might have been at Burnsville?
Whether or not it is, Strasburg certainly did a beautiful job restoring it.

And a huge thank you to the Strasburg people for putting the heritage name of Baltimore and Ohio on her. For me, it says something about the character of both the car and the company operating it.

Another simply FANTASTIC restoration by the folks in the Strasburg shops! Question about plans. Will she be used in regular service (premium fare) or strictly for special operations?

Interior was still being finished up; the chairs and carpets were still covered in shop plastic yesterday, and they're still mounting globes in the hanging light fixtures and whatnot....... I'll let Strasburg personnel add pics when they're ready.

Former B&O X4111, discovered in Somerset, PA in wreck train service and acquired by the WK&S circa 1965 for a museum. Used during the 1970's for the display of "Circus World" and then used as storage. Traded to SRC for C&O insulated box car.

SRC "Susquehanna Valley" given by WK&S to SRC was former RDG 1055, last used by the Reading Company as the women's washroom at Wayne Junction in Philadelphia.

A fitting tribute.

Yesterday (Saturday, 11/10) Lynn was awarded a lifetime achievement award at the Heritage Rail Association conference which ended yesterday in Santa Fe.

Lynn had to bug out early, so his award was given before we boarded the C&TS train at Chama instead of at the banquet that evening...

Regular service, cycled in and out as required with our other four, first-class cars.

For the curious, Strasburg has posted interior pics on their instagram.

First a comment- I love how Strasburg makes each car special. They don't make them cookie cutter. Each coach, and each first class car are worth riding in multiple times and enjoying the various decor on the glass, wood, upholstery, etc.

Second... Anyone have more history on this car? Was it originally a coach? Sleeper?

According to Jeff Zeigler's fantastic WK&S site, it was a day coach.
