Thanks for the information on the Copper Range #X1 crane. Do you know when it was scrapped? A lot of the Industrial Works information has come in one crane at a time.

Looking at the building structure inside, I'd say its a very new museum that hasnt existed for very long. Maybe within 5 years time a decent amount of the equipment will have at least a new coat of paint on it..?

I don't remember what year it was but it might be printed on my pictures if/when I find them. I gave the torch man 10 bucks to cut off all the plates on the crane and the boiler . 10 bucks went a lot farther in the early '70's than it does now. At the time, the scrapper was cutting up all the Copper Range ore cars ,flats, boxcars,gons and locomotive cranes at the same time . I came across the scrapping just by chance in Hancock Michigan at the CR yard .
