I visited her last September. The locomotive is fenced, painted, and kept under flood lights at night. 6069 is sitting next to a live siding as well.

We certainly are trying Richard, there are still some areas that look a little rough with flaking paint and rust showing but we hope to tackle all the black area of the locomotive forward of the tender as soon as we finish the green on the fireman side of the tender

How long did 6069 last in operation?

It looks to be one of the better cared for static displays I've seen.

She was retired in 1960 when dieselization of the fleet happened..
