First it was the 4014 in Popular Mechanics, and now it's 4449:

What is it about any publicity being good publicity? Actually it's good for enthusiasm, and some great details on the history, but darn it, can't the writers and editors get the terminology right?

The southern pacific was not an all oil burning RR when 4449 was built. Can you say Rio Gramde or Tucson Division?

Not only that, the article says the restoration for the Freedom Train was done in a BN's Hoyt Street roundhouse, but for that to have happened the BN would have to have been created roughly two decades before it really was,

That part they got right- BN was formed in Spring 1970.
