FRISCO #3749
The 3749 was built in 1913 by the Baldwin Locomotive Works for the St. Louis and San Francisco Railroad (FRISCO). It was acquired by the Florida Railroad Museum in 2012 from the city of Orlando Fl. The 3749 has a rich history, for more information about 3749 check out http://www.frrm.org/Frisco3749.html

The museum has been working on a cosmetic restoration of 3749 but funds are tight. The museum is seeking donations to bring the project home. Any donation would be a great help, $5, $10, $50, $500, $1000 or even more, any amount. A Go Fund Page has been setup to make donating even easier. And all donations are tax deductible as the museum is a 501(3)C museum, the fee with Go Fund Me is even waived. To make a donations follow this link https://www.gofundme.com/manage/save-frisco-3749 or search Frisco 3749 on the Go Fund Me Page.

The attached photo was taken in 1947 and colorized by Jim Herron. This is the appearance the museum plans to restore the 3749. Once the project is complete, the 3749 will be moved to the Parrish Station for display.

It looks like some kind of equipment box, since it's only on the one side.

Tool box. Repository of a lot of rusty stuff including spare knuckles, etc.

For the record, SLSF #3749 was the last Frisco steam locomotive in active service. It was leased to the Alabama State Prison in Atmore and remained running until the Fall of 1956. Regular Frisco steam had ended in late February of 1952. It's safe to say that the assignment of the 0-6-0 to the prison was the reason for 3749's survival.
