With the current financial woes of Iowa Pacific and the resulting sale of a number of pieces of rolling stock, I thought it might be useful to put together a list to record the locations of equipment that was used by IPH at one point in time or another. Their IC painted E unit and some of the IC painted coaches and obs are sitting on a side track in Kokomo, IN. They were leased to the Indiana Transportation Museum for their Santa and Easter trains after that group was banned then evicted from their Noblesville, Indiana location. The consist has been sitting just east of Ohio street and has been a target for vandels for nearly a year now.

My understanding is that Columbus & Greenville #1, the King Cotton, was never owned by IPH, but was stored by an individual on the S&NC. Having been on that car for a rare nspection trip across the C&G back in the late 1980's, I hope that car ends up in a good place and is restored.

It's my understanding, that the cars listed as being in Monte Vista are owned by the gentleman who owns the end portion of that line, between South Fork and Creede....
Ed/SLRG made sure to isolate them after they had a falling out, if you look, you might notice they removed the switch, at least the points....so the equipment has to be trucked out of there...

This car was owed by an employee of Iowa Pacific, but was sold to the company at some point. It is my understanding that it is now back in private hands to a different owner.

I stumbled on this photo from RailPictures.Net, which shows MH 88 with new, SDCX, reporting marks:

It appears MH 88 has had its reporting marks changed to SDCX, a leasing group called Sandton Rail (a subsidiary of Sandton Capital Partners). I found this STB document from July, 2019 showing SDCX as the lessor and Heritage Rail Leasing (IPH subsidiary), as lessee.

As off a week or so ago, IC painted and heavily vandalized SLRG 4202 & 3351 are parked in Elk Grove Village, IL. Coincidentally they’re behind gutted and also heavily vandalized MARC E9 91 (ex-BN 9907?) and some bi-level cars.

This is the only pic I have of the bi-level cars with any reporting mark. MDTX 8713 is Midwest Transportation and Development. Not sure what that means.

The equipment in Kokomo is SLRG 3110,1721,5120, and either 3310 or 3510. The E unit is #101. Rumors in the area have ITM trying to buy this consist, but can't confirm.

Oof! One hand I suppose it good the cars were saved, but on the other hand seeing that isn't exactly encouraging. And incidentally, that also confirms the location of MTDX 8713.
