At Electric City, Third Avenue (NY) (TARS) 651 is a Brill double truck open car. The carbody is in the Museum in Scranton; we're working on the Brill 22E trucks.

It also ran in Wildwood NJ for Five Mile Beach Electric Railway as their 24.

Western Coal & Coke #1 appears on Mid-Continent's website as a restoration project. Anyone have better info on it?

Same with SP SW1 1006 at Orange Empire. Is it done?

At the Strasburg Rail Road, our capital projects in 2019 include:

#475 1472 SDI, and replaced one driving wheel center.

New concrete floor in the North Car Shop.

Rehab of J Tower.

Plymouth locomotive #1 returned to service with new clutch plates (made in house), and frame repairs.

Rehab of the water tower, including blasting and new paint on the exterior and new epoxy on the interior.

Along with several less sexy expenditures.

Black River & Western NJ Extension to Lambertville, NJ

The RWH Foundation, a 501(c)3 located in Santa Cruz County California, is restoring to operation 50 ton, class B Climax, C/N 1692, out shopped 1928. Trucks are out from under the frame and disassembled. Trucks will be re-gauged to 36" to operate on the Roaring Camp and Big Trees Narrow Gauge Railroad. Major machine work will be outsourced.

In addition to former Huntingdon & Broad Top Mountain 2-8-0 #38, the Everett Railroad is restoring Central Railroad of New Jersey coach no. 997 with completion anticipated in Q1 2020.

Does the ancient bridge need work before trains can cross it? Any idea of the timeline?

The bridge is passable right now! The only repair work required was tie replacement, and we finished that project a couple months ago. The bridge in question (an 1870s Iron Bridge built for the Northern Central) was actually replaced by a girder bridge many years ago. The original Iron Bridge trusses are still in place, but they provide no support anymore and are purely decorative.
