I regret to report another passing in our "family":

I have dreadful news to share about Lee Carlson: He died Monday, Dec. 28, 2020. He developed an aggressive and fast-moving blood infection that settled in his heart. (A link to his obituary is below.) Lee's death is a loss for all of us, and I share your shock and sadness.

Lee was a really nice guy, a good videographer and great to work with. He'll live on with all the videos that he posted on Utube, especially those taken on the Valley Railroad. RIP...

This is extremely sad to hear. I first met Lee more than a dozen years ago and have seen and chatted with him countless times trackside down at the Valley Railroad and out at EBT. He was a really nice person and looked happiest when he was working the North Pole Express trains in Essex or working with the Friends of the Valley Railroad. It is so unfortunate that he will not be able to see the resurgence of the EBT railroad. I know that was special to him. We will all miss Lee.
