Hi Kevin

Sorry, but that is magnetic lettering I had done for Jim Wrinn of Trains Magazine. It was an incredible hassle due to shipping, but it was done. It will be available for Trains photo shoots.

Thanks for the photos! Nice to see the stuff works like it was supposed to.

Some might wonder why I did not have the "Chesapeake" without the "e". Simple, magnetic material only came in certain length, and the "e" made it too long! It also helps them on proper spacing.

She looks like a "working girl" looking for her coal hoppers so she can get to work. Hope break in and all the other concerns go easy on the crews. They really pushed hard these last few weeks to make this deadline. Wish them and WM best of luck these coming few months. Great job guys despite the many set backs and surprises. Congrats. Blessings.

The important thing is the 1309 is back in steam. They have lots of work ahead of them yet, but she is back among the living and that whole crew is to be congratulated for getting her back in steam.

Western Maryland just be debuted a new logo which features both 1309 and 734.

Nobody seeking good P.R. débuts anything in the news media's "dead time" between Christmas and New Year's, unless it directly relates to the holiday, year-end donation drives, or the like. And not after dark, either. In fact, that's an ideal time to drop necessary news that you don't really want coverage on, like Presidential pardons of questionable rogues, a pending tax increase, or the like. A smarter strategy: Steam it up Dec. 23rd and/or 26th for the publicity moves and shots, call it "a Christmas present from Santa," and say "we still need to finish up a few things before it's really ready to run, and still need another $XX,XXX--your donation by Dec. 31st is tax-deductible!"

Maybe it was the quickest they could get it done before the end of the year? I'm sure the WMSR would LOVE to hear from you so you can tell them how they've done everything wrong.
