One of our coaches is in need of several triple coil springs. Can anyone recommend someone who makes these with quick turnaround?

Have you tried Barber Spring? We had very good results with them for FL9 rear truck springs (we did have EMD part numbers...). If you have a drawing or dimensions, that would probably help considerably.

I have had good experiences with Alco Spring in Chicago Heights, IL.

They have excellent engineering resources to much up old helical spring numbers if you cannot supply original specs.

I, too, had good luck with Alco s\Springs. I had heard that recently, they have had some personnel changes, and I am not sure if the expertise was retained. I hope it was.

During the period 1978 - 2000, I worked for Amsted Rail who produce coil springs at their Hammond, Indiana plant. Coil springs were produced in many sizes, including most designs required by freight cars and locomotives. Amsted Rail's website indicates coil springs continue to be part of their product line.
