Anyone know more about this 1960s operation? Where is this engine today?

It looks to me like it was George Spohrer's operation. He had a private line out in that area. I may even have a copy of this postcard in the NJMT collection stemming from our discussions with him over his Cagney.

I believe this is the locomotive which after storage at the B&W RR in St. Marys, went to Chuck Umbley in Kane, PA. He has restored it and has a bit a trackage. However, I haven't seen it there.

Anyone know where the cars went? I think they went east.

Bob, The operation is not in the 1968 Steam directory, so I guess it did not last long.

I have the same post card you sat on e-bay.

The engine looks like an Americanized Herschel in 60 cm.

where she is today, who knows?

If it indeed went to Chuck Umbley in Kane, PA; then it is Henschel 23117/1937; and I have it listed as still there today.

Talk about resurrecting a thread...this may be a new record for me!

Quick question - is this still a "thing"? Do we still have an operational Henschel in Kane, PA? According to a 2016 post in the "Notes" section at the link below, it still is...?
