That CN 2-8-0 looks about the right size for pulling trains between Dillsboro and Andrews.I would hate to see an engine like this scrapped when an organization like the Great Smoky Mountains is planning to build a roundhouse where husky 2-8-0s would be the preffered power.

It has a happy ending though. This is a picture of 2534 shortly after it was moved to Brighton. The frame was sitting right next to it at the time the picture was taken. However, I'm happy to say that Humpty Dumpty has been put back together again.

Here's some more info for you....This museum, Memory Junction, is the work of Ralph Bangay. He saved the 2534 from an unknown fate a few years back, and has developed quite a nice museum at Brighton. And, he is right next to the CN & CP main line. 2534 is in great cosmetic shape, and he is working on restoring other equipment around his site, including a CN wood caboose, CP boarding car, 2 CP cabooses, etc. If anyone is ever in that area, i suggest a stop by.... He gets no help from the town, and all the money comes from his own pocket. The town doesn't support him, although he brings in more tourists to his site than the town does to thier own musuem. Anywho, just my 2 cents....
