At some Cuban sugar mills parts from retired steam locomotives have also been reused in steam-to-diesel conversion attempts. One, No. 4410, at Minaz Mill No. 303 C.A.I. Australia (ex-Australia) and another at Minaz Mill No. 424 C.A.I. Primero de Mayo (ex-Perserverancia) apparently uses a steam locomotive cab and tender components.
Does anybody know more about these or others?
