I'll second that. The 1058 really looks gorgeous! I have a question, though (of course). I noticed in the photo below that 1058 has a semicircular anticlimber/bumper. Is that a holdover from its days as a curve-end 950 series car, or is that just another part of the Fellows rebuilding?

The semi-circular platform (buffer)is a characteristic of the Pacific Electric's 1000 class. The 950's did not have such a large platform on the end as the "Tens" did due to the different end configuration. When Richard Fellows rebuilt the 1058, he added the buffer. The anti-climber was added by the Port of Los Angeles to conform with current regulations.
