Well, the Interchange rules of the road are pretty simple. All we ever have asked folks to do is the following:

--polite, constructive criticism, and polite responses to same, are acceptable

--no flaming

Those, plus maybe the Golden Rule (the Do onto others one, not the He who has the gold one--though come to think of it that applies too), are all it takes. If folks would ask themselves if they were living up to the spirit as well as the letter of both those guidelines before posting, we'd have no worries.

As for limiting free speech--well, yes, we have always limited free speech by having those terms of service. I guarantee that no post has EVER been deleted solely becuase of its ideas, no matter how controversial. Posts have been deleted--and will be deleted much more agressively in the future--for intemperate tone or ad hominem argument.

It's a rude world out there folks. Please, don't bring it in here. This has been a good place--help us keep it that way.
