Taylor, The 3000 hours were just mine!
Total Volunteer hours as of dec 1 2002, were 8463 hours. down a bit from last year, but still pretty good.
You need to spend more time next year...Jerry

Another report: the Western Railway Museum has painted and repaired a Key system Bridge Unit, so two are now running in passenger service.

Riveted frame repairs continued on SN 1005 and Glen Gurrea is expected back soon for more wood work.

A new Wheel Shop was started with concrete poured footings for over 40 tons of machinery. The Warehouse that is housing them has a new roof.

successful operation of our Interurban line for the year, with income above projections.

Repatriating two historical passenger cars was a huge accomplishment, that I'll agree. But I believe an even larger accomplishment for FEBT was the re-institution of restoration and preservation work on the historic Rockhill Shops complex. With the probably irrevocable loss of public funding for such work (as long as the present ownership situation pertains), this is a very positive development for the long term (assuming the EBT contines to operate).
