Jeff Terry had a pretty complete write-up recently in R&R, maybe someone (Jeff? You out there today?) can remember the exact issue and chime in. J. David did the work and he might be able to offer some thoughts himself when he gets around to seeing this thread.

>Dear Charlie:
The restoration was essentially complete early in October. The locomotive and tender are in storage at the restoration site. All "jewerly" items are in the collections storage area at UTEP Centennial Museum pending the locomotive being put on display in a new public building, not yet finished. I do not know when the display site will be ready for the locomotive.
I still intend to write an artical on the restoration when time permits.

The parking garage that the locomotive is to be placed into is now under construction. Fortunately the locomotive will be inserted and be able to leave the building with out first having to tear the structure down. The effort to display it as apart of a railroad museum continues but the problem for any efforts to display all of El Paso's historical railroad equipment together is the initial TexDOT grant gave it the street address of the parking garage . I would like to thank Mr. Comrad and the rest of the restoration crew on a fine job.
