I have seen a builders photo of an Iraqi Alco that looked like a box cab version of a PA and a line drrawing of an MLW HR series export unit that had titling that indicated that the HR's were intended for Iraq.

I am looking forward to hearing what they see. At one time, there were as many of 400 steam locomotives in North Korea. The information that has come in until recently has been spotty at best.

There is an Iraq Railways Borsig 0-6-0T-T on display at the station in Bagdad. An Iraqi Petroleum Hudswell Clarke 2-8-4T is thought to be somewhere in Iraq.

When Sadam invaded Kawait (sp?), one of the war prizes he brought back to Bagdad was a Crown Metal Products 4-4-0 trainset. It may be operational in an Amusement Park in Bagdad. The people of Kawait replaced it with a 4-4-0 trainset from Severn Lamb.
