During the best of times, the Fruit Growers Supply Company(the buying arm of Sunkist) was a good customer of the Yreka. They operated a log reload on the railroad for years. The link is to a captioned photo of FGS Co's. reload.

The process was as follows; logging trucks would haul logs out of the hills west of Yreka to the reload on the railroad. The logs would be transfered to railroad flats, then hauled out to Montegue(sp?) and turned over to the Espee for the haul to Hilt, California.
