Norwalk, Ohio Depot Demolition?

Was just going through Norwalk, Ohio on the way down to the wife's parents, and noticed that the Brick Depot along 250 just before downtown Norwalk (I believe on the old B&O) is GONE along with the B&O Caboose that sat next to it. Anybody know what exactly happened? I always thought Norwalk was pretty decent about historic preservation. The older wooden depot still seems to be there (painted a tan color), but it looks like a Walmart or something is going in!

Think I may have found my own answer, unfortunately, at the link below. Also below is a shot of station before demolition, although there was caboose there too, now gone. Website below also notes that this brick station was torn down in 2003 for a grocery store. It also notes it was actually a replacement for the original wood structure, which ironically still stands. BAD choice fellas. REAL BAD CHOICE.

When I saw it in the process of destruction it was a wooden structure ...purportedly Bellevue has a pile of pieces/parts along with the caboose. I do believe that the brown building was the freight station.

Well preserved and definitely having a better future is the Sister station in Vermilion, OH. It is a hall for St Marys Church. The inside has not been chopped up and retains a lot of the original atmosphere. The NKP station in Vermilion has also been saved and moved not too far away from its original site. Oak Harbor has yet another ... that one was being used for MOW and Signal Dept. last I knew. The Oberlin passenger station on the Southern Division is supposedly under reconstruction, the freight station (1851) being at LSRA in Wellington.

If they would have thought about it rather a nice store could have been designed using the station as a focal point since it was off to the side of the building site ... the key point being "thought". But then again this would have fit in with the surroundings and been more expensive then a concrete block box.
