Does anyone know if the Kahului Railroad roundhouse is still standing? I was in Kahului in the late 70s on vacation and it was being used as an industrial site. All tracks and other vestiges of the narrow gauge Kahului Railroad were gone but the building was still there. Also, not far away was what appeared to be an Oahu RR combine. I recall it was being used by some commercial enterprise. We rode the Lahaina Kaanapali and Pacific as most tourists do. We noticed what appeared to be a tender that was off of one of the Kahului RR 2-6-2s in thier shop area. Does anyone know if there is a web site devoted to Hawaiian railroads. I have a copy of Gerald Best's book, Railroads of Hawaii, which gives a great account of railroads on the islands.
