Steam in snow

Old photo of a Santa Fe Pacific at Kansas City, Nov. 30, 1934, by J. Truman Boyd. None of this class survived, but just liked the photo. Probably taken with an old folding camera, long before the internet, video and TV, when times were hard and money for film was scarce.

Looks similar to TSRR 500

were they close types?

Yes, quite similar. No. 1316 was one group ahead.
