I am a member of a railroad museum that finally has reached a postion where we can move out of the tradition "rolling junkyard" phase. After analyzing our strengths and weaknesses, and with a desire to do the job right, we have decided to bring expert in the form consultant to aid us in achieve a our goals. Is there anyone that he readers of this site would or would not recommend?. If you wish to respond offline, please do so to oaks23@hotmail.com. I guess what we really need a is jack of trades in terms of establishing and planning a museum site, fund raising, building, publicity etc. The location would be Southeast/Midwest US.
Just be certain get, and check out, references.
There are phoneys out there, and only you can protect yourself. Take nothing at face value; ALWAYS contact people for whom a consultant has worked before and see if he is what he claims to be.
