Ladies and Gentlemen:<p>Today I received the following letter from the British Columbia Minister of Small Business, Tourism & Culture, the Hon. Gerard Janssen:<p>Dear Mr. Gillespie<p>Thank you for your letter of October 26, 2000 to my predecessor, the Honourable Ian Waddell, regarding the future of British Columbia Railway's Royal Hudson steam locomotive.<p>I very much appreciate your views on the necessity of preserving this historic locomotive as a priceless piece of Western Canada's heritage. Your letter clearly illustrates your passion for the railway and history, and I share your view that this locomotive should be restored for the enjoyment of future generations. it is my hope that you and your wife will be able to visit British Columbia and ride behind the Royal Hudson in the near future.<p>I have taken tha liberthy of sending a copy of your letter to my colleague, the Honourable Paul Ramsey, Minister of Finance and Corporate Relations, and Minister responsible for British Columbia Rail for his consideration.<p>Thank you again for taking the time to write.<p>Sincerely,<p>Gerard Janssen<br>Minister<p>I hope that my letter and others like it will get the job done!<br>
