At its annual conference in Springdale, Arkansas, hosted by the Arkansas & Missouri Railroad, the HeritageRail Alliance presented the annual Significant Achievement Awards. They recognize achievements in the last 12 months.

Alan Maples, owner of the Everett Railroad for creating its steam powered tourist train, and serving on the Board of Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum
