Thanks for sharing that video. I learned a lot about Mr. Hart and the projects he was engaged in. It was curious that so much of the video content featured a nice HO layout and sound-equipped excellent model of 972. Perhaps future updates of the content might include vintage clips of the operation of this engine. There have to be quite a few out there.
Sounds like he was an exemplary figure and someone who really shaped preservation, in a positive way.

Watched it last evening. I must say, the outlook for CPR 972 is presented as bleak. I saw her in operation back in the late 60's, so I really feel for the loss of 972.
Strasburg has plenty of motive power at the present and enough incoming business to keep everyone busy for the next decade. Then there is the LIRR 39 G5s project, which I guess is currently a moot point. The little Camelback pushed on to a better fate in Ohio. Unless Strasburg has immediate plans for 972, might they consider passing her along to, say, SMS to rebuild? She's only getting worse outdoors and in terms of preservation, there would appear to be a higher goal.
