Look like one around 1910 and one around 1920 and of AC&F heritage.

Any infos or history about them?

Thanks in advance!

Hi
Hopefully this will answer your question,, the first photo of the white tank car, is used as a canteen car or water car behind the Steam locomotives on longer trips..

The second tank car is used for fuel oil storage by the railroad. Pat.

Hi Pat,
thank you for your effort.
No I did not answer my question.

I know what they do today.
My question is about make year owner numbering - during their revenue history.

Regards.

I don't know the specfic history of the Mt. Rainier tank cars, but John Taubeneck posted on the Logging Railroads of the Pacific Northwest facebook page "Something that was common on western logging roads but was rarely documented was the fuel oil car. An old tank car was fitted with a duplex pump and a hose to provided mobile oil storage. Pacific Car & Foundry bought a large number of used tank cars and fitted them out as fuel and water cars for logging service."
