Here's a ludicrously wild long shot question....

I'm looking for schematics or at least wiring info for an Alco RSD1. No, seriously. We have schematics for an RS1 which are helpful in a lot of aspects since the RSD1 is mostly the same thing except for two extra traction motors. We're primarily looking for schematics for the transition sequence. What we're looking at seems to start with all six motors in series. That doesn't make sense to me.

[Edit] To clarify, looking for the high voltage schematic and for the low voltage contactor circuits.

Try reaching out to Tennessee Valley RR. 4 RSD1s were acquired from Eglin AFB back in the '70s. A small crew had to rebuild track and restore crossing to get them out. 8669 and 8677 ran for years but EMDs eventually took over. I never did any electrical work on them, but I think schematics are in the archive.

Eric, reach out to the Orange Empire Railroad museum I have already talked to the operating guys when I first started the project and they are willing to help. Call me sunday evening I will have a name for you.
