Sure - they were built for Montreal commuter service.

Local Scranton road CNJ had both 2-6-2T and 4-6-4T engines for commuter service out of Jersey City. 47 could stand in for them, eh?

Displayed at Zacatecas, Zacatecas. Photos from 1999. Engine is one of 12 extant NdeM 4-8-4s.
