Anyone know if parts are still available for the Duff-Norton 100 ton air jacks? Or does anyone have a blown jack that they would sell some parts off of?

We (Pacific Railroad Preservation Assoc.) own two Duff-Norton 100 ton air jacks. We purchased them through our local RR supply vendor who is R.B. Hornberger Co. railroad supply, in Forest Grove, Oregon (close to Portland). We recently had one of them rebuilt (due to lack of lubrication/water in air) through Hornberger so parts are still available. You can contact Dan Hornberger at 503.357.8931. He had called me a while back asking if we were interested in more. Don't know if he still has them. You can tell him Terry with the PRPA referred you.

R. B. Hornberger is a second generation railroad tools, assessories, etc. supply firm. In the past they have represented a number of firms dealing with track tools, track hardware, car hardware (windows and hinges) and the like.

When the father operated the firm it was located in the San Francisco Bay area. I have been aware of the firm for more than 25 years.

With Duff-Norton, I don't know how much you need in parts, but there is a 200-500 dollar minimum order. Or at least there was one, about 2 years ago, when I tried to get a spring for a short 5 ton ratchet jack. Unfortunatly they did not tell me about there being a service center / part supplier on the other side of the CT/RI border
