Hello all,

I just discovered the website below, which has great information on the history of manufactured gas plants - a major 'steam-era' industry. What is unique among most analysists of brownfield sites is that they have made the effort to examine the specific processes and technology which led to polluted sites. I did the same for the now demolished Altoona, Wisconsin roundhouse - as it illustrated how historic preservation can be used to bring about preservation, economic re-development and environmental remidation.
