The URL below is for a Bennington, Vermont topographical map from 1954. I have figured out how to enlarge and reduce it properly, but cannot get it to print anything but the upper left corner. I need the Bennington to North Bennington portion, which is further down the map. Can anyone give me advice on how to print this portion of the map (Windows ME)?

Incidently, this is the former Rutland Ry. trackage now endangered by the Paran Pathway Coalition for trail conversion. Planning on heading over there tomorrow to look at it in more detail.

You'll need a image manipulation software package like MS Image Composer or Adobe Photo Shop. Right click on the map, and scroll down to "Copy." Open your imaging software, open a blank document then right click again, and "Paste." Then crop the image to the area you are interested in. When you print it, most of the major packages will have under the print menu the ability to fit it to the printer area. In Image Composer, its called "Best Fit."

Here's another way that may or may not work for you depending on the ram and speed of your processor. Right click on the topo map as we did before. Open MS Word, set the margins in the page set up to maximize the printing area. Right click and past the topo map on the page. Be patient, because Word doesn't handle large images well. When the image appears, you can click on it then "drag" it with the "handles" (small white boxes on the corners and middle of the edges to stretch it to fill the printable area.

Hope this helps.
