On behalf of the members and board of the Association of Railway Museums, I want to thank the volunteers of the Illinois Railway Museum for hosting the Spring 2005 ARM Meeting this past weekend and those who journeyed to Union, IL, for the event. With over 60 participants from both coasts, Canada, and everywhere between, the meeting offered informal seminars, an opportunity to see IRM's great collection, and a reception at IRM's Strahorn Library.

Special thanks to Barb Lanphier, Nick Kallas, Jan Galida, Phyllis Schauer, Dave Diamond, Ted Anderson, and all the volunteers at IRM for hosting us and for pulling equipment out and opening buildings prior to IRM's regular operating season.

The Spring Meeting, combined with the spring ARM board meeting, will be an annual event and will likely be in the central region again in 2006. Visit the ARM website at http://www.railwaymuseums.org for updates and for information on this October's Annual Conference at the RR Museum of PA.
