I'm leaving on a vacation for the next 10 days. Erik will be running the whole show while I'm gone, including the Interchange.

So, no doubt, things will go great and the problems with the server (still not fixed) won't act up again until I get back. But, if they do, there's nothing I can do about it as I won't even be staying in a house that has a computer.

My aunt bought an answering machine about 15 years ago, her sole concession to 20th century technology. My father still refuses to recognize computer science as a valid academic subject, let alone a way to make a living. And my sister's 486 (OK, some people might call that a computer, eh Dave?) still is totally adequate for her needs. The last time I tried to use it to connect to the internet I got a "this number is no longer in service" message, but my sister still thinks she has internet access, just never needs it for anything.

So, if something goes wrong, tell Erik about it (see the link to the contact page on the home page), and then take your dog for a walk, or play with your cat. The string thing really works....
