OK, as a result of the hack attack and having the posts wiped clean we decided to update the Interchange software.Well, nothing is ever easy around here. We wanted to go the the latest version of PHPBB, 2.0.15, versus 2.0.9, but we found out the Moby Threads mod, which is preferred by our users by an almost 2:1 ratio, isn't released for 2.0.15, and won't be any time soon. So, our other option was to install the patches for 2.0.9. Well, this involved modifying the code in 46 files, but we did it. And tonight, working into the wee hours of the morning with David Collison's assitance, we uploaded the patched files. And, we had some bugs, but it all seems to be working now. But, we want to give it a work out before we restore the database. So, use the Interchange, and enjoy it, but if you have a problem please let me know, I can be reached at hkading@rypn.org.One final note. We think the hack event was a random attack by somebody unrelated to the railfan community. Don't know this for certain, but there is some evidence pointing in that direction. So, here's hoping that everything is working right, and our patched Interchange is more secure than the old version. Thanks,Hume Kading
