If CSX is open to this, it would mean 90% of the tripe I have read on the Internet the past 3 days is, well, tripe.

The new offerings may eventually include running a $15 million train, the Greenbrier Express, between White Sulphur Springs and Lexington, Greenbrier owner Jim Justice said Wednesday.

And 759, and 2101, and 614, and the GSCL and Chessie Safety Express and B&O 150th Train. The man has a track record that all in all has been pretty cool. Stop strummin' yer fingers and keep 'em crossed. OR, maybe lift a finger to help. No, not THAT one.

OK, well then, show us YOUR list of accomplishments.

Well, I didn't propose--and stir up expectations for--the YRE or the 21st Century Limited. Or, for that matter, American Coal Enterprises and "new steam." I did, however, help save three British diesel locomotives and a PRR/PC Metroliner, and contributed to the Railroaders Memorial Museum.

I'll promise more when I have more money to throw about. And I'll help when there's a concrete way I *can* help. It's not like the Biegerts and/or Xanterra needed much of our help for the Grand Canyon RR, or Strasburg RR help from volunteers for their 50-year history, and any "$15 million" train project involving the Greenbrier Resort sure sounds a lot more like a for-profit enterprise like the American Orient Express or the Alaska RR than it does, say, Steamtown or EBT or Jamestown/Sierra.
