Well maybe, but a kaboom with the first hole seems like a long shot. And if there is 50 feet of soil over the tunnel, that will help. The part I would worry about is going into the tunnel on foot. I don’t know how much of the booby trap threat could be mitigated by detection, but I would not want to depend on it.

At least, if one hole and a camera shows promise and confirms the GP radar data, it will open the door to further exploration unless new excuses are dreamed up to halt the progress.

Yeah, that's standard, "keep out until we've looked," covering your own backside stuff. Nobody wants to risk someone blowing themselves up and having the finger pointed your way and the question asked, "Why didn't you check it out first?"
Doesn't mean anything's there, though.

Nobody has said the booby traps are there. But booby traps and mines are hardly something that has never been done. If anything might be booby trapped, a train load of stolen loot hidden by the Nazis seems like it might be near the top of the list.

A couple more thoughts on this:

1) the 'radar image' is scaled along one side, but not the other axis. If this is supposed to be a down-on view from above, what would the scale be? Without the X axis being marked, it's not like it's marking the distance from the starting location. And it shouldn't be depth, unless that slope is a very uniform 45 degree angle.

2) the story has morphed from a generic train to an armored train. Are there any known to have been built but not accounted for?

Here is the latest which includes a purported radar image that looks like military tanks. The article also seems to say that the previously published ground penetrating radar image was never claimed to have portrayed the so called gold train by the two treasure hunters. Apparently it was an image taken from the website of the treasure hunters and said to portray the gold train by whoever copied the image.

At this point, there are so many people jumping on the bandwagon, and so many media outlets from different countries reporting different stories about what is supposedly the same event, who knows...

This talk of tanks doesn't necessarily mean anything, because apparently some of these armoured trains carried a flatcar at each end, with a tank or gun carrier onboard where it could be unloaded for whatever reason. The apparent similarity between the image in this latest article and the gun carrier could be showing just that- a gun carrier sitting on one of these flatcars.

All we can do is wait until real news emerges... one way or another.

Has anybody seen this alleged web site owned by the finders?

I'm okay with the 'new info' and back and forth nature of this. That is expected.
What I'm sick of is all the news stories declaring the mystery is solved, when it simply isn't.
But that's the nature of media and the internet anymore. You just draw a conclusion, declare it's correct as if it's fact, then someone else does the same later with a different stance.
It's so annoying.

it might have been covered over and buried, that makes sense to me, as time goes, perhaps more info will be leeched out of this curiousity, but eventually I am sure it will reveal all.
