The OHCR "PRR" FP9s were said to have been sold to Canadian Pacific.

Here's a photo dated May 2, 2006 showing the OHCR FP9's on a business train on their home road. Have they been sold since then?

That page has a few minor and major inaccuracies, such as listing switcher 9251 as being in York when (I believe) it's over at Juniata Terminal (although it joined up with K4 1361 for trips out of York in 1988), listing the Dennison steamer as a PRR loco, listing a GG1 that's since been scrapped, and not being able to confirm the well-documented Reuben Wells in Indianapolis.......... so I want more than that and several other pages rehashing the same information..........

That doesn't mean all the information is incorrect. The reason I linked it wasn't for it's overall accuracy, but because it offered a location: "Along highway 78, with passenger cars and caboose". That location was the hint that helped me find the next page.

Disregarding such possible nonsense as the guy faking it via Photoshop or posing at the Blue Mountain & Reading a decade or so ago, this is 99.8% probability PRR 5706 in Alabama. Now the next question remains, how accurate and up to date is this information? That profile could have been posted in 1999 and the loco since scrapped for all we can tell.

The source information for the web page indicates it was published Monday, November 14, 2005 9:11:24 PM. I suppose they could have re-uploaded it to their server, but that date falls within the range of the dated articles listed on the following page (note it falls between stories from 2004 and 2005). http://www.dorahighschool.com/archives.htm

He would be about 65 now, based on his year of graduation. As you say, perhaps someone will volunteer to contact the alleged owner. I'll leave that to a PRR or E-Unit fan.

Why do we revisit this article? I thought everyone knew that OHCR was sold in 2008. People should go to the AGE OF STEAM ROUNDHOUSE web page and see the great things that Jerry is doing at Sugarcreek, Ohio.

Only to update the status of the PRR E8 (ex-Blue Mt. & Reading) discussed in this thread earlier. We had no hard-and-firm from-the-field reports or sightings of that loco, and now Google Street View gives us the view we didn't have in 2006.

(The subject of the BM&R PRR E8's came up in a PRR Yahoo Group, stirred my curiosity, and since my quick research was able to go as far as the Street View to confirm its recent existence--not a sure thing given scrap prices and an economic downturn--and this thread turned up in the Google searches, I thought I'd update it here as well.)
