Steve Lee, head of the Union Pacific Steam Program, has confirmed that RI caboose 17017 has been purchased by the UP and will be moved to Cheyenne. Jason Midyette has confirmed that the bunk car will also be saved and possibly moved to the Boulder county Railway Historical Society's site in Boulder Colorado. The snow plow was purchased by the UP and will be moved to Cheyenne.
