What has been said here about the participants in this issue is true. A ridiculous waste of time and money. However, I would like to add that there some other URHS member groups that took the typical "Let's make the snowball and let someone else throw it" stance with regard to initiating this litigation. Whether they are still actively backing this folly is not known, but at the onset, they were there stirring the pot.

Sad but true as usual, in New Jersey.

Regards.

This is all very tame when compared to the open warfare that took place within and between historical societies and preservation groups in New Jersey in the 1970s and early 1980s. What do they put in the water there that makes people behave so strangely?

Scott, thanks for the great posting, that explains it very well!

Hope I didn't get contaminated while taking pictures at Bacteria Beach.
