Could RYPN please consider a signature size limit?

maybe something reasonable like 50 pixels high and 200 pixels wide maximum, and NO animated gifs! ;) :(

some of the signatures are WAY out of control..and very annoying when you have to see them over and over and over and over again..

they are interesting once..but after seeing them repeated hundreds of times they just get annoying..

thanks,
Scot

Alas, I agree about the signatures. The first time is interesting, maybe the second, but...

Maybe I recall the days of 14k modems and primitive email terminals too well, but there is something unseemly to me about a signature that is larger than the post. Additionally, rapid animation causes me to feel nauseous.

I don't think a ban should be necessary, but I would like to say that it is not good message-board form to spend valuable screen real estate on graphics that are unrelated to one's post. I am a fan of graphics. I love to see images included in people's posts, but these should be used to illustrate the topic of discussion.

I have since discovered that it is possible to preclude signatures by altering one's personal preferences.
