folks,

Dave asked about the Cable Cars and the F Line
They are heritage lines not museums in their own right.

The answer to that is that the Cable Car Museum is served by both the Cable Cars and Muni buses.

And the market Street Railway, Inc Museum is served by the F Line. right next to the door!

Somebody else mentioned the Long Island Railroad Museum.

The other Long Island Museum is at Oyster Bay; when it opens, it will be served by the trains of the Oyster Bay Branch of the LIRR.

And the home of Theodore Roosevelt is a National Historic Site is Oyster Bay also.

The Museum of the American Railroad formerly The Age of Steam in Fair Park in Dallas, Texas is currently served By DART buses. A DART light rail line will open next year but the Museum is planning to move to Frisco Texas on the BNSF within the very near future. By the time the light rail line opens they may have moved and Frisco, Texas has no public transit of any kind
