I was forwarded a link to this video by another regular here, and was debating whether to start a debate on whether such videos are more detrimental to the vocation's image than useful as investigative evidence.

All we need is the footage of that UP and BNSF train on the shared running track....

Such videos can be a useful learning tool, but only if discussed by those that have half a clue about the subject. These videos also remind us that railroading is a dangerous and unforgiving business, no matter how large or small; tourist or freight.
