Excellent suggestion. Your post made me remember a Army crane I photographed in McCalester a few years ago. Neither of the two plates below fit my rivet pattern, but that doesn't mean it couldn't have been exactly that.

We have a Southern Pacific steam crane and tender flat car at the Western Railway Museum.

I believe the crane has been de-acessioned and needs a new home.

And a question for you; American Flyer did a nice model of a Brownhoist 125 ton steam crane. Do any of the originals still exist? Either in steam or the later Diesel forms?
