I know of at least one regular here who worked at QARR but I never met him in person. If I put QARR on my resume could he say for certain I never worked there?

I've ridden QARR once, or twice, or three...no make that four times, or.......?

Maybe it won't work out. But maybe seeing if it does will be the best adventure ever.

For whatever it is worth, all of the Railswap ads and the website were taken down yesterday or today.

I have no knowledge of Westside or Mr. Spera.
I do, and I can say emphatically that the first few (negative) opinions had them pegged IMHO!

If any of you ever think about dealing with WestSide Denver or either of the two principles, contact me and/or post and ask for opinions via PM and I'll tell you what I know from my dealings with them.

All,

Buyer beware... Westside locomotive is back at it.... Also, it would seem that the owner has incorporated himself as "the pyle national company" in denver, colorado.

In the best interest of the industry...not to beat a dead horse... This "PN" company is being portrayed as the original company, it is not. There are a few new old stock parts being sold and the balance are being made new but not using original spec components or material despite the claims. The info was simply copied out of the original pyle catalog...be careful

There is a long list of confirmed horror stories surrounding the party or parties involved, some of which I have first hand knowledge of. I suggest that no one gets taken in.

Cheers, Jason

My favorite episode of "Car 54 Where Are You?" finds the boys sent to run some gypsies out of an empty store front where they are living. They inform the gypsy woman that "you cannot live in a storefront...in order to be there you have to have a legitimate business". She replies "I am an authorized agent for the Budapest Locomotive Works...locomotives by air mail...Steam, Diesel and Electric...but please allow 90 days for steam, we are only human!!!" Ah...they do not make TV like that anymore.

Just a note...I was late to this discussion and tried the link posted in the very first comment. The web site is now "under construction" with no note regarding when it might be "finished". Frome what I have read here, it is little wonder.
