Yes, having no internet connection secures a PC. You can enjoy internet services from a different computer, or even from a device, e.g. iPad.

It doesn't work. You have simply rephrased the old chestnut of "only stupid people get hacked". That was once halfway true when the scammers were lazy (and hindsight is 20/20). You don't need an Internet connection to make your computer insecure. Viruses can come with a letter that says "Put this disk or flash drive in your computer to get a fortune in Nigerian money"!

Well, that's why you have two computers. One is connected to the internet and is used for surfing, posting, and maybe creating documents. The other computer is used as a media library. It isn't connected to the internet, and is only used for storing/indexing your photos and video, and maybe music too.
