NS got a little "horny" tonight near the end of the shoot. Casey Thomason and Stacey Parker from NS put on a great show.

For pictures of today's run down the Shenandoah Valley, see NS's Facebook page, scroll down for images posted during the day.

Another shot by NS Photographer Casey Thomason from yesterday. I really like this one for some odd reason......:)

I just thought of an interesting question:

If PRR/CR 2233 had been in PRR paint instead of Conrail paint, would they still have borrowed it to keep the GP30 theme alive, or would they have sought out a surviving Conrail-painted loco instead?

I believe it would have been about the GP30 more. GP30s, 30th Anniversary, see the link.

Except the PRR didn't go into NS. Conrail did.

The three units they selected are the three major parts that make up their current system.

Southern + N&W + CR = Modern NS

I know that--I'm just asking, would NS have reached out for the RR Museum of Pa.'s loco if it were still wearing an authentic dip-black PRR paint job?

Sandy, That is an unanswerable hypothetical question. since Casey Thomason conceived of the shoot and his superiors approved it with full knowledge of the existance of and paint schemes on the units involved.
