PRR had both horse express cars (B74 class, 3 side doors and one end door, named for various "horsey" places: breeding farms, racetracks, etc. "Del Mar Turf Club", "Metropolitan Jockey Club", for example) and theatrical scenery cars (B70 class, two side doors and one end door, with theatre-related names: "Juliet", "Wagner", etc.).

The smooth-side NYC baggage cars of 1946 had a full end door, but were primarily used as baggage cars, not special services cars as the PRR did with their assigned cars.

The NYC car referred to by J David was strictly a horse car, and had small windows along the upper side to serve as stall windows. That car later had the windows blanked by steel plates and the car assigned as a plain baggage car. It did keep the large end door.
