Glad you found it, but I have to ask, is this idiom intentionally ironic? Just how many people keep looking for something after they found it? As I see it, that is pretty much the only way you'll find something anywhere but the last place you look...

At our museum, the only way I know how to find something is to find it AFTER you stop looking for it. Trying to find WXYZ? Look everywhere; but unsuccessfully. Next week, or in two weeks or in a month, it's guaranteed you'll find it! Last week, Fred Boyer and I started looking for the "clanger" for Kanawha 2789's non-swinging bell. No luck. Should I start again next week? Or should l just wait until I stumble across it looking for something else?
