Last year there was video of a newly restored EFDTC 2-6-6-2 in steam. It's not on the DTC, but a different preserved line. Any updates on her status?

The EFDTC 204, 2-6-6-2, to which you refer is located at Trem da Serra do Mar, which operates regular steam-powered excursions between Rio Negrinho and Rio Natal, Santa Catarina, Brazil.

In November, 2009, during a visit to Rio Negrinho, the following notes were recorded:

"Seven steam locomotives exist at Rio Negrinho, site of a museum. Several locomotives are serviceable:
• ABPF 155, 2-8-2 (ALCO 69447 / 1941), originally EF Dona Tereza Cristina, meter gauge, wood-burner
• No. 311, 4-6-0 (Lima 1292 / 1913), meter gauge, nee-EF Sorocabana
• ABPF 760, 2-8-2 (BLW 72209 / 1945), originally EF Dona Tereza Cristina, meter gauge, wood-burner

From “Inventário:” In 2005, the following locomotives are stored at Rio Negrinho:
• No. 627, 2-8-2 (BLW 58350 / 1925), meter gauge, ex-Rede de Viação Paraná-Santa Catarina
• No. 770, 2-8-2 (BLW 73077 / 1946), meter gauge, nee- Companhia Mogiana de Estradas de Ferro
• No. 204, 2-6+6-2 (BLW 74647 / 1949), meter gauge, ex-EF Dona Tereza Cristina
• No. 206-5M, 2-10-2 (Skoda 1982 / 1949), meter gauge, ex-EF Dona Tereza Cristina"

From Thor Windbergs (in 2009): “No. 204 is under repair at Rio Negrinho. The boiler has been re-flued and steam tested and at least the front engine unit was run on steam. I think the big problem is that the tender is rusted through.”

On December 29, 2013, Rafael Bordini Monteiro wrote, "The ABPF are working on 204 Mallet."
